The Book of Faces

The new semiotic domain that has taken over the world is Facebook. You can put a profile which tells the world all about you. You can put your age, hometown, school, interests, activities, favorites, and relationship status. You can put your favorite pictures up for the friends to see, and the wierd stalker people as well. Messages can be placed on a wall that everyone has in their profile, and for those messages that you don't want others to see you can send those messages too. Different people ask to be your friend from your profile, and there are smaller groups that invite you to be a part in it. Some actually have a point and others don't.

People can join the facebook nation just by signing up for it. Anyone with an email address can. That's probably why so many people have. Facebook started only for the college folk, but after enough bickering from high school kids the Maker's decided to let them in as well. I joined thanks to a friend of mine. I didn't want to have a facebook because I thought it would be an easy place for stalkers to know way to much about me. The day after I took the red pill I realized that it wasn't that bad at all...I was hooked. I spent more time on facebook than I did doing homework. The only way that people can become an expert in the art of facebooking is being on it a lot. There are a lot of different features that take a lot of time to get used to: pictures, making groups, events, and my posts.
