The film festival surely lived up to the expectations I had for the show. There were the hilarious films, and the serious ones as well. Altogether it added up to a great time. My favorite two were Still Roommates, and Leaves.
Still Roommates talked about these two guys from lower Barclay who are runners for the track team. One of them wants to go running, but its in the middle of the winter and his roommate thinks its too cold and doesn't want to go. Then they battle back and forth with snippets of songs trying to sway each other into doing what they want to do. They used Don't Touch This, Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head, and a multitude of other songs which all added up to being the best movie of the festival. In my opinion of course.
The other great film of the night was Leaves. This was a different type of film. It was and animated type of film like Angela Anaconda, claymation, and Paper Mario all mixed in one. Its a long stretch but I understand what I mean. It was not a typical comedy, but there were some aspecs that were funny, like the way he walked, or his facial expressions, or the way that there were no words spoken at all. It was a film that just interested me. There were some other films that were more serious and very welll written like When There are No Words as well. But those two were the ones that stuck out the most to me.

My favorite film was still roommates. I loved the way the guys only talked through music, but as a viewer I knew exactly how they felt and what they were saying to eachother. I thought that the camera person did a great job of adding in close up shots and medium shots to really help show what was going on. The close up shot of when the roommate was on his knee asking the other roommate to run with him and the song can't touch this came on was amazing. It was close enough to capture the expressions on the actors faces, but it was far enough away that you could see both of them and that made it funny.
